(Hutchinson) 3 hrs. Ethics – Ethical Conduct & Suitability Issues – Adjusters
Analyzes the criminal case that the state of California brought against insurance agent Glenn Neasham. Glenn was a licensed Life Insurance agent in the state. He sold an annuity to an elderly lady. He was later investigated, and prosecuted for that sale under an indictment for theft from an elderly person. This was a precedent-setting charge against an insurance agent. The course reviews how the sale transpired, the actions Glenn took, and a special focus and emphasis on the ethics of the sale and the suitability questions that arose.
